You caught me by surprise when I was feeling low,

You touched my very soul.

Heard your voice in the echoes of a song,

Watch me now, I can fly!

Hashkiveinu Adonai eloheinu l’shalom

V’ha-amideinu shomreinu

L’chayim, l’chayim v’shalom

Is this the silver lining, the flip side of the coin?

Would I have found you another way?

You picked me up and gave me strength,

And showed me the beauty of prayer.

Spread over us the shelter of your peace,

And raise us up to a life renewed.

Hear our prayer, and guide us on our way,

Help us keep alive the flame of hope.

This is a private moment, just You and me,

I close my eyes and sense your touch.

I feel renewed and at peace,

You warm my soul with your embrace.
